Cosgrove & Drew is proud to be supporting the Futura Learning Partnership, delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for eleven schools and two sports centres in the Bristol & Bath region. Appointed in September 2021, Futura use the Cosgrove & Drew Facilities Management Team to manage the existing Mechanical Services assets, keeping them operational, legislatively compliant, and importantly safe and effective.
Looking beyond the regular maintenance of onsite plant, Cosgrove & Drew has worked with Futura to proactively future proof the systems. As well as complying with changing regulatory requirements, a core focus of the consultation has been a planned introduction of innovative renewable solutions. Limiting energy use, maximising system efficiency, and replacing dated items are all benefits of the renewable asset programme, and will see the education group make long-term savings, particularly amid rising costs, as well as contributing to their environmental targets.
Seven months into the contract, Area Estates Manager, Jordan Shiel comments, “We first got to know the management team of Cosgrove & Drew back in March 2021 when we put the M&E contract out for tender with a view to start or renew the contract in September 2021. Cosgrove and Drew Engineering provided a professional approach throughout the tender process of the contract, for which they were awarded.
At the presentation for the contract the company introduced many ideas for Improvement, one of which was asset tagging, which has been actively rolled out across all sites, allowing for full PPM servicing delivery and traceability. This is one of many examples of them following through on their commitments to the Trust. Their engineers and supply chain partners are equally as professional, which has created a really strong working relationship at all levels within a short space of time.
The company goes above and beyond the contract scope (reported by all site team members), readily offering knowledge and experience to help on day to day challenges and recommends solutions in line with the trust budgets.”
